Project Scope
The project involves InnoVinn in the BiNOS-Center product development of BATM company, which provides network management capabilities for its IP switch devices such as T5Pro, T6Pro, T-Metro and T-Marc.
Project Description
The primary challenge facing the InnoVinn team lies in the fact that the new functionality has to be built on top of the existing BATM BiNOS-Center product. Using expertise of NSIcom in Network Management Solutions InnoVinn developed required functionality such as:
Proxy Management
The Proxy Management is a new feature in BiNOS which provides to a user the ability to manage a private cloud of demarcation devices via single global IP address, the IP address of the proxy device. he list of services which will be available from outside of the demarcation cloud includes: SNMP, Telnet/SSH, TFTP, Web and others. The Proxy Management feature resides on the router device, which is located between private network cloud and internet cloud, and to which belongs the global IP address.
Existing modules on which the Proxy application is based include DHCP server and NAPT, but the user will not be allowed to configure these features, they will be managed automatically by the Proxy Manager.
Service Assurance Application (SAA)
Unified management solution for OAM diagnostic tools and SLA verification. Service Assurance Application (SAA) uses BiNOS OAM diagnostics agents to offer two-way timing of several applications, such as VPLS (MEF OAM, 802.1ag CFM), MPLS (LSP Ping, VCCV), CES (CES VCCV) etc.
Service Management
Creating service level provisioning and assurance capabilities is added to BiNOS-Center. The service provisioning module provides network service provisioning and customer management. The service provisioning process is used to configure point-to-point connection between 2 devices and multipoint services.
The Service level fault management is used for monitoring service dynamic status and assessing impact of network interruptions and failures on configured services. The service assurance module should correlate the device alarms to faults affecting the service and generate unified, service level, alarm. The service management module allows user to generate status and statistics service reports and visualize service configuration and dynamic status.
Customer Benefits
The BATM continues development of its BiNOS-Center, which supports administrators with performance information and configuration tools for its family of IP switch products. The company decided to intensify the development of the system. This required extra resources to support such activity and InnoVinn assumed full responsibility for the outsourced tasks and resources enabling BATM to focus its time, energy and resources on the core business of increasing sales and market share and expanding into new markets.
As manufacture of the network devices BATM continuously requires full support of the new products in the existing BiNOS-Centres, which is also responsibility of the InnoVinn team to provide such support in terms of development and upgrading the product, which allows BATM to focus more on core network solutions.
