Due to flexible hierarchical structure, System provides the GSM/GPRS network state control in the real-time mode, regardless of current signaling network state and loading. System is a passive one, so it does not influence the network operating, and does not depend on the commutation devices type.
Hierarchical structure enables to extend each System level, without productivity decreasing. SAPSAN System provides continuous real-time monitoring of GSM/GPRS network including analysis of GSM and GPRS protocols, switching and signaling protocols between:
- base station controller and base transceiver station (BSC and BTS);
- mobile switching center and base station controller (MSC and BSC);
- mobile switching center and home and visited location registers (MSC and HLR and VLR);
- GSM and PSTN networks;
- GSM and GPRS networks;
- GPRS and IP networks.
The crucial question for operator profitability increasing is the understanding of how to increase the network productivity. The Sapsan system enables to optimize the signaling network usage, bate expenses for maintaining, by network failure prevention, detection and operative elimination. Accurate data, collected by system probes allow effective rates planning, network development and new services implementation.
System Provides
- detailed statistics information collection on roaming (number of roamers registrations);
- transparence of mutual settlements (verification of roaming account, analysis of operator contract observance, monitoring of incoming and outgoing signaling and conversation traffic in the real time mode);
- statistics on voice and nonvoice services (voice calls by directions, SMS services, GPRS services);
- tracing of multiprotocol calls (graphical displaying of call passing from one end to another, statistics on multiprotocol calls).
