NGN Monitoring System is a high performance, flexible and scalable solution for large environments, distributed service oriented system for network monitoring and testing, allows to boost internal quality, supportability and performance.
Next Generation Networks is the main modern direction of the world telecommunication market development. They have such characteristic features as:
- a number of protocols;
- diverse environments;
- fast development.
This features cause special criteria for NGN control and management tools:
- non-interference to the network’s operation;
- real-time mode;
- independence from the network;
- multiprotocol support;
- processing the great volumes of data.
The need to effectively integrate fault and performance management makes IT organizations to look for a centralized solution for this tasks.
The system is intended for the use in telecom operator’s networks for voice and signal data monitoring and analysis to assess the quality of service. Probes capture data from Ethernet interfaces and transmit it to the centralized data storage on the server. Probes are configured remotely via Administrator application. Client connects to the server for data visualization and analysis.
Functionality
- Real-time traffic analysis.
- Collection data about sessions and calls.
- Non-standard situations search.
- Troubleshooting.
- Thresholds management.
- Data transmission to the management systems (FM, PM, QM).
Features
- High performance. There is ability to use the System in large telecom operator's networks.
- Multi-platform usage.
- Flexible implementation to the networks, independence from communication equipment and software; unified look and feel for different platforms.
- Unified user interface. Handy comprehensive information representation increasing the efficiency of personnel work;.
- Multi-user mode. Simultaneous work of all System's clients. There is ability to customize the view and performance parameters of the application personally to each user.
- Distributed architecture. It’s possible to perform centralized analysis of large network segments.
- Openness to other systems. It’s possible to transmit data to the management systems.
- Fast protocol dissection. Real-time data analysis.
- Providing with tools for System’s configuring and expansion of the supported protocols set. Flexible System’s configuring, System’s status monitoring and proper functioning providing; independence from outside developers owing to presence own dissectors.
